Couple identified in Vernon murder-suicide

VERNON, Conn. (WTNH)– The couple who died in a murder-suicide in Vernon on Wednesday have been identified.

Police say 53-year-old Allison Peterson and 59-year-old Eric Danziger, were found dead in their Linden Place apartment just after 10 a.m. by a maintenance worker doing a service call.

Based on an initial investigation, police determined that Danziger and Peterson were dating and that Danziger killed Peterson and then himself. The couple did not have any children.

An autopsy is scheduled to be performed and the Medical Examiner will determine the official cause and manner of death.

The incident remains under investigation.
