Middletown Police asking for public’s help finding armed robber

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH) — Middletown police are asking for help finding a man who they believe is responsible for an armed robbery.

Middletown police say that around 1 p.m. Thursday, they received a call from an employee at the Gulf Station on South Main Street. The caller told dispatch that he had been robbed at gunpoint.

The suspect is described as a thin, white male, around 5’10” tall, with long hair tied in a bun. He was wearing a black coat, jeans, and tan shoes or boots. He had a beard, but it may have been fake.

Police say a black and silver gun was displayed.

The suspect is believed to have fled on foot. Officers and a K9 attempted to locate the suspect.

Area schools were notified so they could take the appropriate security measures. No injuries were reported from this incident.
