Nayaug Elementary School in Glastonbury evacuated

GLASTONBURY, Conn. (WTNH)– Nayaug Elementary School in Glastonbury has been evacuated Thursday morning due to a possible gas leak.

Police dispatch tells News 8 that police responded to the school at 222 Old Maids Lane, due to an odor of natural gas. They say that there is “a problem with the furnace” there.

It is unclear if there were children at the school during the evacuation. It is also unknown how long the evacuation will last.
