Two arrested following drug investigation

PUTNAM, Conn. (WTNH) – Two people have been arrested after Connecticut State Police and officers with the Putnam Police Department executed two search warrants at a home on Pearl Avenue.

The search warrants were executed Wednesday shortly after 6:00 p.m.

Tisha-Lynette Hirst, 26, was arrested following an investigation about synthetic marijuana trafficking at her home.

Police personnel confiscated several bags of synthetic marijuana pre-packaged for sale.

During their search, officers also arrested Tad Elie, 24, who had an active arrest warrant for strangulation, unlawful restraint and risk of injury to a child. He is due in court Thursday.

Hirst was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. She was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in court on March 3.
