Boys & Girls Village gets grant

MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH)  –  A $2.16 million grant has been given to Boys & Girls Village which provide mental health treatment, permanency planning and educational services to Connecticut’s vulnerable youth and their families.

The agency, with locations in Milford and Bridgeport, will use the grant from the State’s non-profit grant program, to create a new purpose-built facility that can accommodate more sophisticated programming on its Milford Campus.  Presently the campus is home to a therapeutic day school, a 16-bed children’s psychiatric care unit, a 12-bed residential treatment program for boys, and in-home treatment and family reunification programs.
