Non-invasive way to smooth fine lines and wrinkles

WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – A non-invasive way to slow down signs of aging.

More and more people are doing what they can to slow down the aging process.

And they want to do it without using toxins or fillers or going under the knife.

Reversing the aging process is a growing trend.

Naturopathic physician Dr. Keith Zeitlin says that’s mostly due to baby boomers, “Let’s face it, we have an aging population.
The baby boomers are not 20 anymore and they’re wanting to be. So they are going for every kind of procedure.”

Many though want the fine lines and sagging skin to be lifted, toned and shaped — naturally.

Ultherapy is what Dr. Zeitlin offers his patients here at 5 Elements Naturopathic Health Center.

“There’s no substance to fail. Nothing wears off. What it’s doing is it’s triggering the body’s ability to regenerate it’s own collagen.”

What triggers the skin repair process is the ultrasound energy.

Registered nurse Kathy Schomburg explains, “We are treating at the fiber muscular layer which is the layer that most plastic surgeons work on when doing a traditional facelift. We are creating little injuries within the skin and that is telling your immune system, oh my goodness, there is something going on here. We need to fix this and it creates a collagen and elastin which is what gives you that lift and a tightening of the skin.”

The result is gradual and subtle — lasting up to two years.

Stephanie Kastenhuber says, “I would deal with the wrinkles before I let someone cut my skin and pull it back and seal it up.”

On this day, she is in for a booster.

“It’s actually sometimes even hard to notice until people start coming up to you and saying what did you do? Did you change your makeup?” says Stephanie.

Dr. Zeitlin says, The ideal candidate is that person who is not thrilled about the idea of injecting some sort of foreign substance into their body and isn’t really ready for a surgical procedure.”

There are no side affects, no bruising and Stephanie was able to go back to work after the hour long treatment.

It’s not covered by insurance and could costs up to 35 hundred dollars.
