9 arrested in Hartford undercover drug bust

HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Nine people have been arrested after an undercover narcotics bust in Hartford on Wednesday.

Detectives from Hartford’s Vice and Narcotics Unit, the FBI Task Force, and the Statewide Narcotics Task Force conducted an undercover narcotics operation in the north end of the city after they received several complaints of street-level narcotics sales.

Undercover detectives began monitoring the area and identified nine prospective buyers and sellers. The following individuals were arrested:

1. Angel Baez, 47, of Hartford
Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance

2. Lloyd Coleman, 48, of Hartford
Charges: Possession of Narcotics
Possession with Intent to Sell
Conspiracy/ Possession with Intent to Sell

3. Harvey Ramesy, 43, of Hartford
Charges: Conspiracy with Intent to Sell Narcotics
Failure to Obey Stop Sign
Failure to Obey Officer’s Signal

4. Darryl Spence, 54, Hartford
Charges: Possession of Narcotics

5. Damond Bester, 39, Hartford
Charges: Possession of Narcotics
Possession with Intent to Sell
Possession of a Controlled Substance

6. Kandi Blake, 43, of Hartford
Charges: Possession of Narcotics
Possession with Intent to Sell
Loitering

7. Cory Brown, 41, of Hartford
Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance
Possession with Intent to Sell Narcotics
Possession with Intent to Sell within School Zone
Failure to Obey Stop Sign
Operation without a License

8. Anderson Pichardo-Gomes, 26, of Hartford
Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance
Possession with Intent to Sell
Possession with Intent to Sell within School Zone

9. Levie King, 38, of Hartford
Charges: Loitering
Possession of a Controlled Substance
Possession with Intent to Sell

Police seized 114 bags of heroin, 82 bags of marijuana, once ounce of marijuana, five bags of crack cocaine, and $1,598 as evidence. Police say some consumer products were used in attempt to hide the evidence.
