BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) – The former East Haven zoning official who solicited and received payments from residents has been sentenced.
According to Deirdre M. Daly, United States Attorney for Connecticut, Frank Biancur JR., 41, was sentenced Wednesday to 30 days of incarceration in a halfway house, followed by two years of supervised release.
According to court documents and statements made in court, Biancur was employed as East Haven’s Planning and Zoning Administrator and Zoning Enforcement Officer. Biancur admitted that he sought and received payments from at least five individuals in exchange for official acts he rendered.
Biancur was arrested on May 27, 2015 and plead guilty on December 1, 2015.
