Motorcyclist hospitalized after serious crash


BERLIN, Conn. (WTNH) — A motorcyclist is in the hospital suffering from serious head injuries after crashing on Route 71 Thursday afternoon.

Berlin Police tell News 8 the motorcyclist was travelling northbound when the bike went off the right shoulder of the road and crashed. The operator was taken by Lifestar to St. Francis Hospital. The identity of the motorcyclist has not yet been released.

The Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Squad is assisting in the investigation. Anyone with information on this crash is asked to contact Berlin Police at 860-828-7080.
