Connecticut American Red Cross Volunteers Help Down South

(WTNH) — Volunteers with the American Red Cross Connecticut Chapter are heading down south to assist in relief efforts after devastating floods affected the region.

Two volunteers will be deploying to Mississippi. Wayne Daily, who is a mental health supervisor out of Mystic, will be heading to Greenville , Mississippi. Heidi Sullivan, who is a disaster mental health services associate out of Southbury, will be heading to Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Daily and Sullivan will join other volunteers already down south to help after rising floodwaters force thousands from their homes across Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Texas.
