CROMWELL, Conn. (WTNH) — Overnight, Cromwell police responded to the Cumberland Farms gas station on Berlin Road on a report of a robbery, and the search for the suspect continues.

Around 1:30 a.m., officers from the Cromwell Police Department were dispatched to the Cumberland Farms at 38 Berlin Road. Police say that their on-scene investigation revealed that the suspect had entered the store alone and approached the counter, demanding money from the register. Believing the suspect was armed, the cashier complied, and the suspect made off on foot, running eastbound.

He is described as a medium build man, between 190 and 215 pounds, and approximately 5’7″ to 5’9″ in height. He was dressed in a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants, and police say his face was concealed by what appeared to be a white plastic bag.

Anyone with any relevant information is asked to contact the Cromwell Police Department at (860) 635-2256.
