Police: Suspect wanted after striking officer with car

Torrington, Conn. (WTNH) – While a police officer was trying to serve an arrest warrant in a driveway, a suspect hit an officer with his car and took off.

Police say they were attempting to serve Kyle Treadway with a warrant on Wednesday March 16th in the driveway of a home on East Main Street. Treadway has active arrest warrants for Narcotics charges and Failure to Appear.

When officers confronted Treadway around 8pm, he refused to comply and drove away at a high rate of speed. As he was driving off, he hit an officer with the front bumper of the car. The officer was hit in the legs and had minor injuries.

Police are now looking for Treadway. They say he was driving a 1997 Blue Volkswagen Golf with Connecticut Plates 264-XUE.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Torrington Police Department Detective Bureau.
