Shelton Police Arrest Man After Home Burglaries

SHELTON, Conn (WTNH)- Shelton Police have arrested a man they say stole twelve firearms and more than $100,000 worth of jewelry from a home back in November.

Police arrested 44-year-old Walter Gonzalez of Bridgeport, and charged him with twelve counts of Theft of a Firearm, two counts of Burglary, one count of Larceny and Criminal Mischief.

Police say Gonzalez broke into two homes back in November, stealing jewelry and a television from one, and firearms and jewelry from the other. Police believe Gonzalez was responsible for a number of other burglaries as well.
