(WTNH) — Men today recognize that dressing the part can often tip the scale in terms of getting a new job, scoring a date, or just in how you feel. Just as important as a new suit or trip to the gym is thinking about how you take care of your skin. Makeup Artist and Skincare Expert Andrew Sotomayor shares his secrets to great skin.
-Multi-purpose skin oil
-Alternate shaving with razor blades and electric shavers razor to give skin a break in between.
-Keep products where you’ll actually use them. You keep deodorant in your gym bag or locker, keep face moisturizer there too. Wherever you put your wallet or keys, keep a tube of hand cream so you can use it right before you head out the door.
-Set reminders on your smartphone to get a haircut, change your disposable contact lenses, or get new razor blades. You can sign up for a subscription razor blade service so fresh ones are automatically shipped to you.
-Keep your breath fresh. Of course brush and floss twice a day if not after every meal, and also use a tongue scraper to remove excess bacteria and plaque from the surface of your tongue. (You can actually feel and see the difference). You can also try “oil pulling” where you swish coconut oil in your mouth for several minutes to remove debris and bacteria, use breath spray made from natural essential oils, and even try a pre-biotic toothpaste.
