Three injured in Somers school bus crash

SOMERS, Conn. (WTNH)– Three people were injured in a school bus crash in Somers Thursday morning.

Police confirmed to News 8 that three people were taken to the hospital for unknown injuries after a school bus was involved in an accident with two cars on Rte. 190/Main St. and 9th District Road.

Police say there were students on board the bus at the time of the accident and at least one child was injured and taken to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. However they cannot confirm at this time if the other two people injured were on the bus or from the two other vehicles.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. News 8 is working to gather more information. Check back for more updates.
