Waterbury police investigating Chase Avenue bank robbery

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) – Waterbury police are searching for suspects after a bank robbery Thursday morning.

At approximately 9:15 a.m., the Wells Fargo Bank at 224 Chase Avenue was robbed. According to Waterbury Police, the suspect walked into the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. No weapon was displayed.

The teller complied with the demand, and an undisclosed amount of money was taken, before the suspect fled on Chase Avenue. He was last seen running behind the Pizza Caste Restaurant.

Police are searching for black male between the ages of 18 and 20 years old and was last seen a blue, hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
