Bristol police search for suspect in alleyway mugging


BRISTOL, Conn. (WTNH) —  Bristol police are investigating after a delivery driver headed to a Bristol eatery was robbed at gunpoint by two men on Friday night.

Around 10:14 p.m. on Friday, Bristol officers were dispatched to the vicinity of 427 North Main Street on a report of a burglary. A delivery driver was in the process of dropping off when he was approached by two men in an alleyway. One of the men revealed a handgun, pointing it at the driver as he demanded money.

Police say the driver complied, and the suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of cash, as well as the driver’s cell phone. The cell phone was later recovered, however the incident is still under investigation by both patrol and criminal investigation units.
