Gas Prices Ticking Upwards

(WTNH) — Prices for gas here in Connecticut and across the nation are still ticking upwards.

AAA’s Fuel Gauge says the national average price for a gallon of regular gas is $1.98. That’s a nickel more expensive than prices from last week, at $1.93 per gallon. However, last month, the prices were over a quarter cheaper, at $1.71.

In Connecticut, the current average is a little more expensive by about one penny at $1.99. Compared to last week, prices were a nickel cheaper at $1.94 — and a month ago, prices were a dime cheaper at $1.89. We are still saving at the pumps; last year, prices were about 50 cents more expensive at $2.50.
