The Department of Transportation reports that the right lane I-84 westbound was closed between exits 68 and 67 after a tractor trailer truck went down an embankment just after 2:30 a.m. The road has since been reopened.

Tolland fire officials responded to the scene where a ruptured fuel tank was reported. Troopers say that there was frozen meat being carried in the fuel tank and that is what ruptured. There was no fuel spillage.

There is no word on any injuries at this time. The cause of the crash is under investigation. It is unknown if weather was a factor but there was snow on the ground at the time of the accident.
