(WTNH) – Best Friends Heidi Grise and Sandy Cassanelli share their experiences with breast cancer, what they are doing that is unique to help find a cure, and the importance of support.
Heidi and Sandy founded the Breast Friends Fund was started by Heidi and Sandy after Sandy’s breast cancer had resurfaced. She is now battling stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer.
Through the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s Jimmy Fund, Heidi and Sandy have formed Breast Friends Fund, a fundraising initiative with 100 percent of donated funds earmarked for Dr. Eric Winer’s breast cancer research efforts. Most charities apportion dollars towards line items other than research.
