BETHEL, Conn. (AP) — Authorities say a shooting inside a western Connecticut home has left a man dead and two other people injured in what appears to have been an attempted murder-suicide.
Police and paramedics in Bethel responded to the home Friday afternoon after receiving a 911 call. It’s not clear who made the call.
Bethel Police Chief Jeffrey Finch told the News-Times (http://bit.ly/1SbIm4b) that a woman who was shot is expected to survive, but it wasn’t clear how serious the other victim’s injuries are. Both victims are hospitalized. He said all three people suffered gunshot wounds.
First Selectman Matt Knickerbocker says the shooting appeared to be an attempted murder-suicide and a gun was recovered at the scene. Finch called it a possible domestic disturbance.
The names of the three people haven’t been released.
