State Police are looking for a Massachusetts man leaves traffic stop

THOMPSON, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut State Police along with Massachusetts State Police are still looking for a Massachusetts man that went speeding on Interstate 395 northbound in Thompson.

The driver was identified by his license as 26-year-old Marcus Rose from Worcester, Massachusetts on Thursday at 9:20 a.m.

Troopers stopped Rose at exit 99 on Interstate 395 northbound. Police say his car had a strong smell of marijuana. Rose told police there was nothing illegal was in his car.

Additional troopers were called to the scene to conduct a search. Rose refused to exit the car and resisted the Trooper then he took off.

Troopers followed him to exit 50 onto Wilsonville Road and they lost a visual on the car. They later found Rose’s car at a home on Wilsonville Road in Thompson, Connecticut.

Rose left the car behind and ran into the woods. Massachusetts’ state and local police departments were notified and are looking for the suspect.
