New Haven, Conn. (WTNH) – Tonight New Haven police are doing things a little backwards.  They have an alleged shooter in custody.  Now, they’re trying to figure out who he may have shot.

Officers were called to 173 Franklin Street after someone heard gunfire.  Neighbors told the officers who responded that the suspect was a light-skinned black man, about thirty years old, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and jeans.  The description was a good one.  Officers located Jonathan Wagner nearby and arrested him.

But, the investigation into who Wagner shot is ongoing.  Police think they may know who the victim is, but they are not cooperating.
