(WTNH) – If you need to destress but can’t, whether it’s because of work or financial restrictions, self-proclaimed Travel Artisan Nina Lesiga shares great tips on where to locally go to refresh.
A daycation is a day away without an overnight stay. “It is possible to have an absolutely stunning adventure in just one day or a part of a day,” says Nina.
Stratford resident Nina Lesiga retired after 30 years in the corporate world, decided to create a “dream job” for her second career. Building on her love of solo adventuring, she created a website and blog, (www.gottatravelsolo.com), created a group for solo travelers on www.MeetUp.com and began offering seminars for those interested in hitting the road on their own.
Nina co-produces PechaKucha 20×20 storytelling with the Westport Library and produces the Stratford Storytelling Adventure in collaboration with the Stratford Library and Stratford Senior Services. She’s taught the “Art of Storytelling” at Fairfield Adult Continuing Education. Nina is a member of the Center of Emergent Media in New London, where she is developing her art as a film documentarian.
