DUI Reintegration Center opens at Enfield prison

ENFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Governor Malloy has announced another phase of his second chance initiative for state offenders. He officially opened a DUI Reintegration Center at the Willard-Cybulski Correctional Institution in Enfield.

It’s designed to provide to provide unique support services for inmates convicted of drunk driving. “This program is so very important to those of us that work within ‘Mothers Against Drunk Driving’ because it involves assesment of the offender, the DUI offender, it involves treatment and then it involves reintegration into the community,” said Janice Heggie Margolis with Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

There are already more than 100 inmates being housed in this new unit.
