Police name suspect in East Hartford homicide

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — East Hartford Police have named a suspect in the March 25 homicide of Jerome Mack.

33-year-old Jerome Mack of Bloomfield was found with a gunshot wound to the chest on Smith Drive in East Hartford. He was pronounced dead by paramedics.

Detectives have named James Burrill as the suspect in Mack’s murder. Investigators continue to gather evidence and develop information into the circumstances surrounding Mack’s death.

Authorities in other states have been alerted that there it a warrant out for Burrill’s arrest. James R. Burrill is a 38-year-old black male standing 5′ 7″ tall. He has black hair and brown eyes, and weighs 165 pounds.
