EAST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – She was the Treasurer of the Ferrara Elementary School Parent-Teacher Organization in East Haven. Now Jodi Trudden been arrested charged with larceny in the first degree.
East Haven Police say Trudden had been with the PTO treasurer for two years. A possible misuse of funds triggered a police investigation. They conducted a search warrant of the Ferrara School PTO bank account.
Investigators say she shopped away, spending an unauthorized amount of $11,000 dollars at various places including Aldi supermarket, Amazon.com, Bath & Body Works, BJ’s Wholesale, EBay, Yankee Candle, Videostripe.com, Wafios Machinery Corp, Wal-Mart, Zulily, and many others.
Trudden was released after posting a $5000.00 bond. Trudden has a court date of April 13, 2016 at New Haven Superior Court.
