Groton police make charges for promoting prositution

GROTON, Conn. (WTNH) – The Groton Police Department arrested two men accused of promoting prostitution.

The arrests were made on Thursday in city limits, and the Regional Community Enhancement Task Force assisted.

Jason A. Maciel has been charged with promoting prostitution in the second degree.

John W. Ostrowski is facing charges for conspiracy to commit promoting prostitution in the second degree.

Both men are from Warwick in Rhode Island.

The arrests stemmed from an investigation into human trafficking.

Both Maciel and Ostrowski are being held on bond.
