New Haven man sentenced for illegal gun possession

New Haven, Conn. (WTNH)- A federal judge has sentenced a New Haven man to more than seven years in prison and three months probation for illegal gun possession.

According to court documents ,  23 year old Rajoun Julious, who is also known as ‘Smuggles’, was found with two loaded weapons near the scene of an armed robbery in New Haven.

In a subsequent interview by authorities Julious admitted that one of the weapons, a .380 caliber pistol was his. Investigators also say Julious has a violent criminal history that includes felony convictions for first degree assault and carrying a dangerous weapon.
