South Windsor police investigate car burglaries

SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are investigating several car burglaries that happened overnight Friday in South Windsor.

According to investigators, several vehicles had been left unlocked overnight in the area of Benedict Drive and Sunnyside Drive. Authorities say the suspect(s) took at least one purse and other small items.

Police recommend people to always lock their vehicles, and to take valuable items with you, such as phones, laptops, wallets, purses, etc.

Authorities also suggest residents to leave porch lights and driveway lamps on overnight to deter thieves and burglaries.
