MYSTIC, Conn. (WTNH)–Oyster Club, an award winning farm-and-sea to table restaurant, was named one of the best 101 restaurants in America by The Daily Meal, a distinguished food publication. It is the only honoree from the state of Connecticut.
“We are honored to be named one of the best restaurants in America, and humbled to be in the company of culinary titans that have excelled in the industry for years,” said Dan Meiser, Oyster Club owner.
The Daily Meal determines the country’s best restaurants using a panel of industry experts as well as the publication’s editors and special contributors. Oyster Club, which ranked at #76, was acclaimed among well-known restaurants such as Grammercy Tavern in New York (#78), and Chez Panisse in California (#27.)
Meiser said he is thankful not only for the loyal guests and the Oyster Club team, but for the farmers and artisans that make their restaurant possible. Oyster Club provides a new menu daily and showcases food that “travels the shortest distance from farm and sea to table.”
