Better business bureau recommends digital spring cleaning

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — As the weather warms up, many of us being spring cleaning. But as the Connecticut Better Business Bureau wants to remind people, it is important to do a digital spring cleaning too, to protect your personal information and keep online transactions secure.

Joining us Saturday on Good Morning Connecticut, Howard Schwartz from the CT Better Business Bureau shares what it means to do a digital spring cleaning.

Digital Spring Cleaning Checklist:

  • Apply updates and patches
  • Remove unused software
  • Keep it clean
  • Scan for malware
  • Back it up regularly
  • Strengthen your passwords
