(WTNH) – The state’s Department of Motor Vehicles is asking people to delay any business they planned to conduct on Wednesday or face the possibility of longer wait times.
Department officials are trying to fix a problem with the agency’s computer systems in locations across the state.
“We know this is an inconvenience to our customers and we are working around the clock to resolve this matter. We also want customers who have expiring credentials to know that they will be given a grace period to get their renewals done,” said DMV Commissioner Michael Bzdyra.
Anyone whose license or registration expired on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week will be valid until Thursday at midnight.
The computer issues do not affect AAA offices. Those customers with license or ID card renewals should visit a AAA office.
