East Haven man killed in car crash on Interstate 95

OLD LYME, Conn. (WTNH) — Connecticut State Police are investigating a deadly crash on the northbound side of I-95 in Old Lyme Wednesday morning.

State troopers say one car traveling Northbound in the right lane when it somehow veered off the roadway near the ramp at exit 70.

They found 19-year-old Michael Deangelo of East Haven in the drivers’ seat and was pronounced dead at the scene. The wooden sound barrier wall was damaged.

No one else was hurt. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
