(WTNH)– Michael showed and Kelly didn’t.
Kelly Ripa decided not to show up to co-host ‘Live!” with Michael Strahan Wednesday in wake of the news that he would be leaving the show to join “Good Morning America.”
It was announced on Tuesday that the former NFL star accepted the full-time gig at “GMA” and ABC will start a search for Strahan’s replacement beginning this fall.

“Kelly’s off today, and filling in for Kelly is Ana Gasteyer,” Strahan said introducing the actress.
New York Daily News reports that Ripa was blinsided and that their boss Michael Gelman told her the news Tuesday just minutes after “Live!” ended for the day.
Strahan is likely to begin his new role at “GMA” in September.
