Hartford man arrested when police find pot, loaded gun in his car

LEDYARD, Conn. (WTNH) — A Hartford man has been arrested following a motor vehicle stop near Foxwoods Casino on Friday morning.

According to police, 31-year-old Ronald Bloomfield of was pulled over on Route 2 near Foxwoods Casino on Friday morning. Officers determined that Bloomfield was driving with a suspended license.

Officers say they then found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the car, as well as a loaded .45 caliber handgun under the driver’s seat.

Bloomfield was arrested and charged with operating under suspension, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a pistol without a permit, carrying a weapon in a motor vehicle, and window tints.
