Two arrested on drug charges on Route 8 in Torrington

TORRINGTON, Conn. (WTNH)  –  Two people have been arrested on drug charges after being stopped for motor vehicle violations.

Police say 27 year old Antonio Cressotti of Terryville is charged with possession of over 4 ounces of marijuana and possession with intent to sell.  His passenger, 18 year old Daniel Austin Winkler of Barkhamsted is charged with illegal sale of drugs by non-drug-dependent person and possession of controlled substance: hallucinogenic substance / 4 ounces of marijuana.

According to State Police Troopers from Troop B pulled over the vehicle they were in as they were driving on Route 8 North in Torrington.
