Event set to honor Prince in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – The City of New Haven, New Haven Parks & Recreation along with 94.3 FM WYBC “The Rhythm of The City” will honor the late Prince on Wednesday.

The celebration of his life and music performances will take place at Goffe Street Park in New Haven from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m.

People will be invited to sign a card that will be sent to Paisley Park.

A videographer will be on-hand to film people sharing their memories of Prince.

Admission is free. People are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and their dancing shoes.
