Kentucky Derby Comes to Connecticut


NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Owner of L’Armoire Diane Roth, and Sara Tucket the Executive Director of the New Canaan Mounted Troops are gearing up with for the local event filled with hats, alcohol, and horses!

The dress code is “derby-style,” so dress up and win great prizes. The event is Thursday, April 28th at L’Armoire in New Canaan.

L’Armoire will be donating 10% of all sales between Thursday, April 28th – Saturday, April 30th to benefit NCMT.

Celebrating its 76th year, NCMT is a non-profit organization that provides the most comprehensive educational Full Horsemanship and Equine Care Programs for youth in Fairfield County.  In 2012, NCMT launched the Super Troopers Therapeutic Program to serve children and adults with special needs. Last Fall over 60 adults and children with special needs experienced equine care and adaptive riding programs.

L’Armoire will celebrate 31 years in its New Canaan location and New Canaan Mounted Troop its 76th year.
