A Connecticut Teacher Is the Nation’s Best!

Congratulations to Jahana Hayes who is a history teacher at Waterbury’s John  F. Kennedy High School. She was just selected as the National Teacher of the Year by the Council of Chief State School Officers. She will now be headed to the White House on May 3rd for a Ceremony with President Barack Obama. Hayes earned a bachelor’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University, a master’s degree from the University of St. Joseph and a 6th Year advanced degree from the University of Bridgeport.
