NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) – Nina Bender shares how her passion for silversmith has turned into a mission to help Connecticut families.
Nina learned to silversmith at summer camp when she was just 12 years old. Since then she has been using local stones to create customized jewelry.
This Mother’s Day, 100% of profits of all “Mom” jewelry, along with 15% of all other jewelry in April and May, will go to fertility treatment funding couples trying to expand their family after they have exhausted their IVF insurance coverage.
“It’s not often talked about,” said Nina, “Fertility is an issue for women of all ages.”
