PD: Man arrested after telling TSA he had a bomb in his body

WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WTNH) — A Massachusetts man has been arrested after claiming he had a bomb in his body.

According to Connecticut State Police, they received a report from TSA agents at Bradley International Airport that a man at the security checkpoint claimed to have a bomb inside his body.

Police say during the routine ID checking process at security, 42-year-old Eleuterio Serrano of Massachusetts said he had a bomb in his body. Police say Serrano referenced surgical implants that had been put into his back during a recent surgery.

After further investigation, Serrano was arrested and released on $2,500 bond. He is charged with breach of peace, threatening, and is due in court on May 11.
