Police find drugs in deadly Waterbury crash

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — Police have released new information about drugs being involved a deadly crash in Waterbury on Wednesday.

According to officials, 28 year-old Brian Green of Waterbury and 59 year-old Mary Gabriele of Terryville were both killed in the crash. The crash happened Wednesday morning on Thomaston Ave.

Police say Green’s car was traveling South on Thomaston Ave., when it crossed the center line and crashed nearly head-on into Gabriele’s car. Both cars spun out because of the severe impact, and Green was thrown from his car. Both Green and Gabriele died, according to police.

Further investigations found that Green had 2 bags of cocaine on him, weighing out to more than 15 grams. His body also tested positive for cocaine.
