Southington, Conn. (WTNH) – Police are looking into what caused a two car head-on crash early Saturday morning. Just after midnight on April 30th, two vehicles crashed on West Center Street by the intersection of Summit Street.
Police say 26-year-old Krista Pikora of Southington was driving a 2014 Jeep Compass westbound on West Center Street when he collided with a 2009 Kia Spectra that was being driven by 30-year-old Brandon Caron eastbound.
Caron, of Bristol, was rushed to Waterbury Hospital in critical condition. He later died from the injuries he sustained int he crash. Caron’s passenger, 26-year-old Kelly Brennan was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital with minor injuries. Pikora was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital with serious injuries.
Southington’s Accident Investigation Team is reconstructing the scene to determine what went wrong.
