HARTFORD, Conn. – (WTNH) The newborn’s due date was still two days away, but this baby girl was ready to come into the world and she wanted to come quickly. On Sunday, May 1st, a 9-1-1 call came in and Hartford Firefighters and EMS Professionals arrived to the Bedford Street home and delivered the baby.
Hartford Firefighters got the call that the mother’s water had just broken and they were given the address of the home. When they arrived on the scene they were told the baby had crowned and within minutes of rushing to the mother they beautiful baby girl came into the world meeting her proud mother.
Hartford Lieutenant Ron Talit says “It is not often that we respond to calls that leave us smiling from ear to ear, and rejoicing with the citizens that we are called to serve, due to the nature of most of the calls. However, this is one of those calls that we were ecstatic about.”
