MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — Two men stopped in Milford on Thursday choked two police K-9’s and hit officers, according to authorities.

Police say officers on patrol near Howard Johnson’s Hotel stopped 40-year-old Karim Harrison, of Milford, and 20-year-old Harrison Rowbotham, of Guilford, for being suspicious. They say that’s when the two hit officers and choked the dogs. Both men had to be shocked with a stun gun, according to authorities. No one was seriously hurt.

Officials say officers found crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia on Harrison and Rowbotham. They’re both charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, assault on an officer, animal cruelty, and other crimes.
