MYSTIC, Conn. (WTNH)– Friday is a big day for a local teacher. Cory Harris from Mystic is part of the “Jeopardy Teacher’s Tournament.”
The quarterfinal round airs later right here on News 8. He’s certainly excited about it.
“This is just unbelievable. I just wanted to get there, and once I’m there, once I’m here, I can’t think of anything better. I’ve been watching the show since I was little and I kind of liked the idea of doing this sort of thing for a competition and fun, so I’ve taken the test a few times and I was lucky enough to audition and be here, so it’s just a great game,” said Harris.
Harris is a high school English teacher at “The Williams School.” And he’s been a fan of “Jeopardy” for years.
He faces off against a couple of other teachers from around the country. If he wins, he moves into the semi-final round. We’re rooting for him and we can bet his students are as well.
“Jeopardy” airs right here on News 8 at 7 p.m.
