PD: 22-year-old Waterbury woman killed in domestic dispute

WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — A 22-year-old woman is dead after police say she was shot several times by her boyfriend.

Waterbury police say they were called to 11-13 Clifton Avenue at 8:40 a.m. Saturday for a reported disturbance and person shot. Officers found 22-year-old Ebony Swaby of Waterbury suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Swaby was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital and pronounced dead at 9:20 a.m. Police say she was shot several times by her live-in boyfriend 32-year-old Camal Barnes during a domestic dispute. Police say Swaby and Barnes have a two-month-old baby, who was there at the time of the murder, but was not injured.

Barnes has been arrested and is charged with murder and risk of injury.
