Newtown teen faces impaired driving charges

NEWTOWN, Conn. (WTNH) — A Newtown woman was arrested on the evening of May 10th for driving under the influence.

Shaina Kendall Stamp, 19, of Newtown, was observed by an officer flashing her high beams at another vehicle on South Main Street. After her vehicle was stopped, the officer determined that Stamp was driving while impaired.

Stamp was arrested, charged with operation of a motor vehicle by a minor with elevated blood alcohol content, as well as a minor motor vehicle infraction. Stamp was released from custody on a $100 cash bond, and is due in Danbury Superior Court on May 24th.
