Fire damages Wright’s Mill Farm in Canterbury

CANTERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) — Two people were taken to the hospital after a fire broke out at the Wright’s Mill Farm in Canterbury on Wednesday night.

Mortlake Fire Dispatch tells News 8 that a fire was reported at Wright’s Mill Farm, 65 Creasy Road, just after 7 p.m. Wednesday. Two people were taken to the hospital. According to Wright’s Mill Farm’s Facebook page, no one was seriously injured.

The Facebook post says the fire destroyed the kitchen and damaged the Lodge.

The post also goes on to acknowledge customers who have planned events at the farm, saying the owners will be in touch with customers over the next several days.

There is no word yet as to what caused the fire.
